CATTERY

Once upon a time - twelve years ago to be exact - my husband and I together with our two children visited for the first time a cat show. We were simply fascinated by cat beauties of all colors, shapes nad sizes. At the exhibition we also found books about cats and several contacts to cattery.

After long hesitation we decided to buy a chinchilla colored Persian Cat. We phoned the owner andshe told us the kittens were expected to be born in a month. When the kittens grew up a bit, we wanted to have a look at them. They were gorgeous. We decided to chose a pale-colored tom-cat. We had to wait two more months before we could fetch the cute kitten. The little tom-cat was right from the beggining obedient and snuggling and above all hygiene-minded.

After that we thought it would be nice to have some kitens. But we needed a cat. So again we took a book and read it thoroughly. This time we decided to buy a blue and white british cat. But it wasn´t that simple. This color is quite rare. Half a year later I happened to find an ad offering a kitten - a blue and white bi-colour cat. In a week we went to Pilsen and got the kitty. Exactly in a year she bore her first kittens. And so this is how we started to breed British Cats in our small suburban apartment. Successively we acquired three more cats of different colors and a tom-cat for breeding.

Beeing the "lady of the house" I am also the boss breeder but the rest of the family helps me too - my husband and both children. Nineteen-year old Jacob created these pages, seventeen-year old Lenka is even able to help the cat bear the kittens.My husband has done several arrangements in our apartment because the cats are allowed to move all over the place without any restrictions. We have put a net on the balcony so they can even go out for a walk both summer and winter.
